McDonald's Offering Free Meals To First Responders & Healthcare Workers

Beginning on Wednesday, April 22, McDonald's will offer "Thank You Meals" to healthcare workers and first responders free of charge to thank them for their service during the pandemic.

The promotion will run through Tuesday, May 5 and to get the free meal, healthcare workers and first responders can either "show their work badge or ID or be in uniform" via the drive thru or for carry out, according to the official press release. The meals will be available for breakfast, lunch or dinner and served in a Happy Meal box.

The "Thank You Meal" menu is:

Breakfast

  • A choice of an Egg McMuffin®, Chicken McGriddles® or a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and a Hash Brown.

Lunch and Dinner

  • A choice of a Double Cheeseburger, 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets® or a Filet-O-Fish®will be offered. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and small fries.
